Aim: To step into the wild world with confidence, élan and grace.
With that as an aim, I had ventured into the IAF, 27 years ago.
Step I did with all the three factors built in.
In May 1980,the journey began, to culminate successfully in Dec 1981.
When I was 21 plus, I was commissioned.
I brought tears of pride in my father’s eyes.
He always wanted to do what I had done.
Could not.
I did.
Since then, he is gone.
I have taken his place.
My children, they need to replicate something similar, if not better.
That was the challenge I undertook and left the IAF.
Towards that, we have been striving…ever since then.
Till now.
History repeats itself…how true.
Her journey too began in early 2007.
She got her confirmation in May 2007.
She joined up on 02 July 2007.
Today I can say with glowing pride that me eldest daughter has also made it.
She is now with one of the best business plans on this earth.
Today she has come home with her first Pay cheque.
From her hard work as much as 12 hours per day, eversince she joined up, on 02 July 2007.
The difference?
She/they have a choice.
They are global citizens.
They have the moon climb up too.
They will be given the means to do so.
They do not have to worry at all about the sundries.
They have to work too, to produce results.
Under professional leadership.
In a humane environment.
With a valuable sense of ownership and belonging.
A culture so rare is there to rear them.
So caring and so thoughtful.
Minus the hypocrisy and the sycophancy.
A professional environment that nurtures 360 degrees growth.
Thoughtful and devout.
The result:
Her kid sister is so impressed…that she counts on her fingertips.
Years left to get in there too.
She announces she has nine years left to do so, too.
Amazing impact good and sound corporate governance has on humankind.
Both the old and the young.
Given a chance I would also join up.
As it is never late to work hard.
Wish the owners of the business get to know this reaction.
So that they can gauge the depth of the impact that good, well meaning initiatives, get to have.
I do not want to compare.
But would like to analyze and reach a conclusion that its just not money that motivates people, any where and every where in the world.
To begin with, it is all about being challenged constantly.
Next comes being taken care off and ensuring growth..
Finally, the money matters do matter but only to some extent.
Its good thoughts…that do so.
Its sound leadership…that does so.
The will to give more to get even more, is inbuilt, and that too, does so.
She has all the comforts that money can buy at this stage.
She has all the channels of professional growth at her disposal, always.
She has every tool that she may need to perform her task(s.)
She has a platform at her behest to launch a global career.
She can think of the best university and join the same too.
She need not worry about her future employee.
She will have no choice but to come back ,as that is the inherent policy.
She has no ‘bonds’ to break away from, as the only bond that has been instilled within her and others, is the bond of the heart.
To never to part.
But to grow…and grow globally.
So that money made in the bargain, can be used nobly.
That being the mission statement.
Employees do go and come back sooner than later, to grow exponentially.
That thought sets this business plan apart.
For others to, as corporate standards, emulate.
Thanks to the wonderful invention called the ‘computer mouse’.
That clicks to click.
And has built an empire, will do so too, dollar by dollar, brick by brick.
Clickety click, click, click.
It pays too as one clicks!
Clicking away to glory…out there, they all are, writing away a brand new story.
Cheers!
For an initiative that is, build on a foundation that visions ‘putting money to good use and not any evil use’.
I am so glad my daughter is a ‘ contributing spoke in that very wheel’.
Wishing them all.
All the very best.
God Speed too.
With a feeling of ‘one mission accomplished’… “DCO,” as I would have endorsed on return.
