From the folk lore days of, ‘Tom Thumb' to what I now call, "Thumb Types" it has been quite a remarkable journey.For a tiny little Thumb!

Most of us have been through that journey ourselves.
Now we are all adept “Thumb Typists.”
Let’s show the Thumbs up!To that wonderful journey.

Here’s why!

The story of 'Tom Thumb' as a child, had us wondering all the time, and left us bewildered too.

As a grown up, now, as and when I SMS, I use my Thumb, quite often to type, and I continue to wonder at its':

• Agility
• Ability
• Adaptability

Right in front of my eyes, as I type, using it to press the keys.

As a Combat Pilot too, I would wonder on the above three outstanding traits.
The Thumb is the most important part of a Fighter Pilots’ body, in combat.
The Thumb fires most of the weapons, using the buttons on the Joy Stick.
To Kill.

Now, it types.
A metamorphic act.Thanks to technology.

We are so used to our mobile phones/devices, as they are an integral part of our existence, now a days.The Thumb is at work, yet again, on them,reminding us of “Tom Thumb”.
As it works. It never shirks.

I relive the story of Tom Thumb with every stroke.Tiny, adventurous,mischievous by look/design, outstanding too.

Outstanding! As a Leader.

As a Leader?
Yes.

Look at your own open hand, fingers wide open, and if you know the reasoning: why a Thumb is considered to be a leader, amongst all the five fingers, you would have got the drift.

The Thumb has found its way, once again.
To the ‘center court’.Victorious.
Like Tom Thumb did, time and again,in the 17th century folklore.

This time round, 'flying' on its own, helping us communicate, using our hand held “high tech devises”.
Making communication happen.Fly to the recipient too!
(Not on a butterfly)

While doing that, quickly,effectively, it has also morphed the English Language, making it more phonetic, in the bargain.

SMS’s get created by the brain, are re-spelt too by it, phonetically, and then are typed by the “Leader”...Thumb.

As tiny effective communications.

Effective usage of the Tiny but mighty Thumb, as a Leader, continues admirably,in the 21st century.

A Thumb that never ever was, dumb.
