Loved, Loathed and Missed - Like Hell!

http://www.youtube.com/user/michaeljackson

Now that he is gone don't you miss him?
Desperately?
His trance like entertainers?
His unique rhythm?
His gyrating, levitating, unique dance style?
His Soul Stirring Music!

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) conceptualized, visualized, created and popularized several physically complicated dance techniques, such as the 'Robot' and the 'Moonwalk'.
He did that all the while as he created and vocalized music too.
He did that for us ever since he was a 10 year old.

Much as we did try to, we could seldom copy and learn to emulate/accomplish what he presented to us on a platter, through his musical master-works.
There we were... living it, loving it and enjoying it in awe instead, all the time.
Giving up! on his movements, on his Vocals, as they were indeed out of this world.
We were beaten to it...by miles.
Beat It!

His distinctive musical sound and vocal style not only influenced many hip hop, pop and contemporary R&B artists across several generations, it also inspired some of the greatest film makers in the Indian sub continent like Ram Gopal Verma.
He has gone ahead and painfully recorded on his blog " I truly truly hate Micheal Jackson for becoming a grim realty from a fantastic fantasy. (www.rgvzoomin.com).
For RGV, Micheal Jackson was somebody from outer space.
Such was the impact of MJ's creativity on this creative professional of global repute.

Not that the impact is not there within us as well.
Isn't their an inner sense of subtle pain gnawing ever since we heard the news of his death?
Within each and every one of us; who have lived, loved and loathed his creativity in these past thirty plus years.

We miss him like hell...now that he is gone.
I do for sure.
I miss MJ a lot. I never met him in person even for a second. Still I do.
Such is the power of music.
I lived, loved his presence so much that now its like a vacuum that has been created all of a sudden.
Vacuum within me.
A Void that is there to stay.
The pain within is numb and constant.
The music he gave us and we grew up with is haunting my mind ever since last Thursday, when I first heard about his sudden demise.
I am unable to think my way out of that trance like state that I am now in, with all his numbers reeling within my mind.
One by one.
Conjuring images of his videos as well.
From the very first one...to the last one.
I am so hurt that I am unable to play them on any of my music playing devices.
I am afraid I might cry in pain if I do so.
Hence I am refraining and letting the numbers play withing my mind.
One by one.

We grew up hearing tales about sensational stuff like Elvis, Beatles and other greats of the fifties and the sixties, that our elder friends and siblings enjoyed in those years.
They would talk so much about them then when we were young...in our teens.
That left us yearning for sensational stuff as well to experience first hand.
We were yearning for something similar to happen to our generation too in the seventies and the eighties.
There was ABBA and Boney M happening in a big way.
But the sensational stuff that our generation deserved too, was on the anvil as well, unknown to us.
Quietly in America in the form of a 10 year old.
Micheal Jackson was gyrating, moon walking and singing his way up as a part of a group.
And one day he arrived.
He arrived in style and ' moon walked ' into our hearts to stay there for ever.
He arrived Big and Bold in the seventies and graduated too...with his " Thriller " enthralling us to ecstasy in the early eighties.
He was soon to be the Tsunami of music world.
He arrived and remained as " The Music Maker/Entertainer of the Century"

Veni Vedi Veci... is one phrase that was defined and created for the likes of MJ.
Conquer he did.
Not some part of the world but the entire world as such.
Generations have lived, live and revere his creativity till date.
MJ conquered the music world and stayed as the number one perpetually, all these years.
With more that 750 million records sold, he has set a record that would be very difficult to break in times to come.
750 million records that in turn stir up billions of souls day in and day out.
Help ease day to day pains.
For a little while if not more.

As a distinguished, respected and admired artist of Afro American origin MJ has the distinction of being inducted into the ' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame not once but twice. The Guinness Book of records records his recording success a number of times as well - Including one of for " Most Success Entertainer of All Time. The Grammy awards he could muster up in his career numbered to a total of 13 (13 Number one singles).

Awards, Rewards, Recognition, Fame, Name in times to come... were not something new for MJ as such.
He grew up with them ever since he was 10.
As a 10 Year old sibling number 7 of the Jackson Family he made his debut on the professional music scenario way back in 1968 as a member of ' The Jackson 5.'
He made a mark and embarked on creating HIStory as well, moving up and up, levitating viewers and music lovers with every performance along with the group as he performed.
Sooner than later, he scaled higher heights; thanks to his decision to go solo in 1971, while he was still a member of that group.
Soon he emerged as the " The King of Pop "
He remains that way too till date, even after death.
His Album " Thriller " released in 1981, is till today, positioned as number one, as it is still the worlds best-selling album of all time.
With his death the sales have gone up another notch as indicted by early reports.
People want to desperately own a piece of him now that he is no more.

Four of his other solo studio albums are among the world's best-selling records.

They are.

1. Off the Wall(1979),
2. Bad(1987),
3. Dangerous(1991)
4. HIStory (1995).

I am sure they would be disappearing from the shelves too in the coming days.
The sale has just begun, again!

Convergence of technology as it happened in those very years helped MJ and his entertainment reach every home too, thanks to MTV.
His followers quadrupled within no time.
He made his billions in the bargain.
But he had his feet on the ground all the time.
MJJ donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his foundations, charity singles to support his 39 charities.
His public life was roaring all the time but his private life whenever made public had him reeling under law suites.
Aspects of his personal life, including his often changing appearances and eccentric behavior, generated significant controversy which damaged his public image. His Music and his Health took the toll in the bargain.
A ruptured marriage added to his many voes.
Despite all of these pains, he loved his children and ever since he broke up and he paid 9 million dollars a year, for their custody till his last breath.
His pain was his bargain.
He had to live it for years.
Endure it alone.
Till he maybe planned to get over it...maybe; for them.
His Children and the other children of the world he so loved.
Our children.
Yet another generation who would revere him in times to come.
Through: " This is it"

He endured all of that and was all set to get back with a ' Big Bang ' in the next 15 days, but was destined to die instead.
When death came it came out of no where.
As an unexpected gloomy surprise.
Death happened all of a sudden, out of the blue as it does so often.
Happened while he was working extensively on a come back trail through a series of 50 concerts, mainly to lessen his financial voes.
Preparing he was day and night for those concerts, scheduled this year, beginning July13, in London.
Under the banner : " This is It "

Alas!
This is it.
He is no more..

Physically yes he is gone...Spiritually: He lives on!
Through his unique soul stirring music.

Legendary stuff!
That he created for all of us to live and love to ease our pains.
Live and Love Life through music and not through medicines and drugs.
As he had to!
Till his demise.
He died on an empty stomach, with traces of some pain killing drugs found within it, in autopsy.
What a soul stirring end.

Having said that:
I admit.
I do not have the heart to stomach and witness his funeral which is expected to break all records as well.

I would rather:

1)Play his numbers within my mind and get rid of the prevalent numbness that I am living through ever since his loss. As time and soul stirring music are great healers.

2)And pray in silence, that his soul may: Rest in Peace.
