On promptitude!

A second Wolff has come into my life...yesterday.

Michael Wolff.

Thanks to linkedin.



The first one came into my life 30 years ago...and together we became fighter pilots, then.

The two of us also left IAF prematurely.



This time round...Mr Wolff surprised me with Promptitude that is so rare at his position and stature.

He is a CEO.



On contemplating his response and further emails we exchanged, I got motivated to blog some traits that make the difference in today's IT related business environment.
He is ahead of times...and his work will for all you know shy... Googles' growth.



Hence this blog entry.

The moral of the story:



Do IT.

Do IT Now.

As its now or Never.



That's about action and/or reaction.

To make it more convincing lets borrow the steely steal line of a slogan of Nike..." Just do it."



Further introspection on this ad line and today's word get word craze thanks to the Internet got me thinking onto a new phrase..." Just do IT."



Information Technology and its off spring, ITES...get encompassed within IT.

I was/am still contemplating, where would this initiative lead to.

Would corporate on site jobs be redundant soon?
Sure they will.

With broad band spreading its wings to the extent that professionals can stay at home and log on to servers.

No need to travel to the work place.

Is that the future?



If yes.

While doing so...one would indeed have to change the existing work styles and habits.

The home would gradually get transformed into a work place...with a fancy workstation that connects you to any one, any where, any time.

You would soon video too.

And for all this...get paid handsomely, too.





Now, with such a possibility appearing on the horizon what human traits get need to be changed?

One trait for sure would have to be changed...Attitude(s).

The attitude that will get you to that state would be the one that delivers promptitude.

Packaged with truth.



As data gets stored.

And is retrievable.

No scope for lies etc.



So, Promptitude, Attitude, Truthfulness, Integrity will be the hall mark of a thoroughbred professional in the new IT era that is round the corner...the era of what I have started terming today onwards as... " Just do IT"



You are sure to make your millions like the others already are...provided, you instill the above traits.



All of us want to be entrepreneurs too.

At the end of the day,be our own bosses...

The day is not far when we shall be...we will have the anvil to be, with offerings like http://www.ki-work.com/ taking shape.

So gear up.

Aggressiveness on the Internet, with assertiveness inbuilt, will fetch you mega bucks provided you have the traits mentioned above, ingrained in you.



If you do not have..there is just about sufficient time to mould yourself.



So..." Just do IT "



An Astute Dude with attitude, promptitude,gratitude, and enough latitude, will be the need of the hour soon.
